Shock-room training
Shock-room training
Your team, your resuscitation room, your processes: shock-room training brings the content of the ETC to where your team actually works — with your protocols, your equipment and your own layout.
01
Training in your own resuscitation room
Shock-room training builds on the content of the European Trauma Course but is a format of its own: scenario-based training in your hospital’s own resuscitation room, with the colleagues who actually share shifts there.
This does more than build skills — it makes interfaces visible: Who takes over when? Where is everything kept? How does the handover work? On request we include local diagnostics and medical devices in the scenarios.
- Scenarios with your local protocols and equipment
- Real teams instead of randomly assembled groups
- Structured debriefing after every scenario
- Video debriefing on request
02
The format
One training day is designed for two groups. For 32 participants we plan two days.
- 8 × 45 min
teaching sessions per training day — focused on scenarios and debriefing.
- 2 groups
per day, each a real team of no more than eight people.
- 2 trainers
certified instructors lead every training day. The course language is German.
- Certificate
Participation is confirmed with a certificate from ETC Austria.

ETC course or shock-room training?
The ETC course is the international format with a standardised curriculum, team-leader assessment and a certificate from the European specialist societies. Shock-room training prepares your existing team in its own environment and confirms participation with a certificate from ETC Austria. Many hospitals combine the two.
